​GRADES
Grades will be posted to School Loop as soon as possible. At a minimum, I will post grades every Wednesday. Grade reflections will be done EVERY Wednesday in class.
ONCE A ZERO...ALWAYS A ZERO!!
Students may NOT turn in work late (after a due date).
Please read the Adventure Green Sheet for more detailed information on this. Also, ask your child!
CURRICULAR LITERACY 40%
​Content area mastery as exhibited by Tests,
Quizzes, Quick Checks.
CRITICAL THINKING 30%
Projects and other problem based learning
experiences. Could include blog entries where
higher level thinking and inferencing is required.
WORK ETHIC 20%
Classwork, Warm ups, Math Notebook
COLLABORATION 10%
Participation in class discussions and group activities,
collaboration in group projects, staying on task
during projects and lessons.
EXTRA CREDIT up to 5%
Students can propose an extra credit project or
idea to me and if approved, they can submit at
any time during the term for extra credit. I will
ONLY approve project ideas if ALL classwork
and tests have been submitted

TEST or QUIZ RETAKES?
YES!! I allow test retakes/make-ups! In fact...I encourage it!
Students have several options for raising their grade:
On a TEST or QUIZ students may submit a written response to EACH missed question explaining WHY they got the answer incorrect, and what the answer should be. Students have until the END of the current Grading period (TERM) to resubmit.
